Superstition Mountains

The 5th Annual AJ Art Festival of the Superstitions will be held on Saturday February 19 and Sunday February 20, 2011. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m Sunday.  Central Arizona College Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction, Arizona is the venue again this year. This is a juried fine-art show with live musical entertaiment, theatrical performance groups and the Taste of the Superstitions food court. Presented By DST Creative, Superstition Area Cultural Alliance and Central Arizona College this festival provides a great place to start or add to your art collection. The mural filled courtyard of Central Arizona College Superstition Mountain Campus is a great venue for an arts event. Saturday evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. there is “Sippin’ Cider With SACA V”,  a meet and greet the artists, silent art auction and show awards presentations in room 444 at CAC. There will be refreshments and entertainment. This is hosted by the Superstition Area Cultural Alliance (SACA) and is open to the public. The cost to enter the festival is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for seniors 65 and older and children under 12 are free. A portion of the proceeds benefit the five area non-profit charities that have booths on the event grounds free of charge.  No alcohol or firearms are allowed on campus or at this event.

Bring the entire family out and enjoy a day with the artists! On Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Join internationally acclaimed singing cowboy Pioneer Pepper and the Sunset Pioneers for HIgh Noon with Pioneer Pepper. Come on out and experience the greatest, funniest, bestest, cowboy stage show around! Tempt your palette with lunch at the Taste of The Superstitions and see some great family entertainment, surrounded by some of the finest artists and their work in the Superstition region.
