It’s time to once again Tempt the Eye and Sizzle the Senses at the Apache Junction Art Festival & Taste of the Superstitions, November 14th & 15th at the Central Arizona College’s Superstition Campus, 273 E. Old West Highway in Apache Junction.

The Superstition region is famous for the quality of its artists and the AJ Art Festival will be showcasing 60 or more of it’s finest as well as high end craftspeople and an exhibition of local filmmakers who’s works were filmed in this area.

Also new this year is the Taste of the Superstitions, a Food Fair & Festival patterned after those made famous in such areas as Chicago and Boston.  There you will find restaurants representing those from Superior to the East Valley, each offering the best of their menus in bite sized, sample style portions.  You can try a bit of each and mentally note which ones you wish to visit for a full sized dining experience!

Music wise, “Cool is the Rule” as the Ben Harris Jazz Trio takes center stage from 9:00am to Noon Saturday, followed by Whistlin’ Gary Trexler and the Sonoran Jazz Ensemble at 1:30pm.  At 3:30pm Folklorico de Alma Superior will present the best in Folkloric dances.   Sunday Ben returns for a 10:00 performance followed by Headliner and internationally acclaimed Singing Cowboys Pioneer Pepper & The Sunset Pioneers for a special concert at 1:30pm.

Also scheduled on stage are the famous Broadway Palm Dinner Theater players with scenarios from their currently featured production of “Smokey Joe’s Café” and the upcoming Holiday performances of “Meet Me In St. Louis.”

Need more?  How about KNIX’s Barrel Boy, on site and available to meet plus the Festival Kid Zone, Antique Auto Exhibit and dozens of other activities to make it a perfect November weekend!  The Gates open at 9:00 to 5:00 Saturday, 10:00 to 3:00 Sunday with General Admission of $2.00 / $1.00 Seniors and Children under 12.
